Pre Match Summary

Hucknall Town will be aiming to maintain their 100% start to the East Midlands Counties
League season when they head to the Dovecote Stadium this weekend to take on Ingles.
The Yellows put their FA Vase defeat to Anstey Nomads firmly behind them by beating
Barrow Town 7-3 at Riverside Park on Tuesday evening, and will head back to Leicestershire
on Saturday in search of another three points.

Back in February, Hucknall lost 1-0 away to Ingles in the league, but Town were victorious in
the reverse fixture earlier in the 2019/20 season, when goals from Matt Brian and Kamarni
Wilson secured a 2-0 win.

The two sides also met in the League Cup just over a year ago, with Ingles going through on
penalties on that occasion after a 2-2 draw at Watnall Road.

The opposition

Ingles FC were formed in 1972 and are based in Shepshed, Leicestershire. They play their
home games at the Dovecote Stadium, which is also home to United Counties League
Premier Division club Shepshed Dynamo. Ingles are currently managed by Adam Vasey.
They began the new campaign with two straight home victories, first against Teversal in the
league and then against Saffron Dynamo in the FA Vase. However, their first defeat of the
new season came in midweek against table-toppers Ollerton Town, who the Yellows face
next Saturday.

Graves’ pre-match thoughts

Ahead of the match, Hucknall manager Andy Graves has said that his team must provide a
stronger performance than the one on Tuesday if they want to collect another positive
result.
He stated: “We definitely need to put in a better performance than we did against Barrow if
we want to beat Ingles.
“In last season’s game against them [Ingles] we were pretty dominant, but we came off with
no points, so we’ll need to be more alert this time around.
“We need to be more careful with the ball and work harder as a team when we lose it. We
know we will create good chances in games, but if they don’t get taken, we know what can
happen.”

The match kicks off at 3pm tomorrow.

COVID-19

Please observe C-19 instructions if you are travelling to the Dovecoat Stadium tomorrow. Supporters are encouraged to download the new NHS C-19 App and the club will issue further details on this and how it will work at Watnall Road fixtures later today.
