Missed Chances see Reserves having to settle for a share of the points

Hucknall Town Reserves hosted Bingham under the lights at the RM Stadium in this NSL1 League fixture.
Thankfully the illness that had impacted selection at the weekend had cleared and Yellows named a strong squad with Callum Orange and Danny Stokes both returning to the starting lineup.

Hucknall got off to a terrific start and went ahead early on when great work on the right saw Callum Orange pick out Danny Stokes to score after a lovely flowing move. Town had chances to go further ahead but poor finishing meant the lead stayed at one goal. Bingham got back on level terms when beating Hucknall to the second ball when keeper McGrory parried a free-kick away only for Bingham to force the rebound into the net. Stokes had a similar chance to his goal to put Hucknall back into the lead but blasted over and soon after Roberts saw his header smash the post only for a free kick to be awarded to the opposition for a push.

The second half was a cagey affair with neither team creating clear cut chances early on. Hucknall swapped things around in the final quarter of the game as they went in search of a winner. Fisher, Heverin, Ridley-Phoenix and Staley all entered the game. With Yellows pushing for the win Bingham broke away and Hucknall had keeper McGrory to thank for saving in a one-on-one.
In the 85min Yellow were awarded a penalty, but the resultant spot kick was smashed against the bar and moments later Heverin put Orange clear through on goal only for his shot to be hit high and wide.

Disappointing result for the Reserves, but some great play at times and the shape looked much better than of late.
