Yellow Snatch Draw with Last Minute Goal

Hucknall Town Reserves made the short trip to the top of Watnall Road to take on Kimberley MWFC Reserves.
Star striker Callum Orange's call up to the first team gave Dhiren Brandy the chance to make his debut for the club after impressing in pre-season.

Kimberley played some measured and stylish football, but it was Hucknall who had the better chances in the first half with Brandy unlucky not to get on the score sheet on at least a couple of occasions. Yellows had a couple of shouts for penalties - one for foot up on Brandy and the other for a push on Hallam as he was about to head home, but the referee was not interested in either one.

Kimberly took the lead with their first shot on target after capitalising on a mistake in midfield by Hallam. Hucknall responded by laying siege to the oppositions goal once more. Brandy's shot from just inside the box hit the inside of the post and away to safety. Peate's header from two yards out narrowly missed at the far post with the goal at his mercy. Hucknall introduced all their substitutes just prior to a free kick from which Staley nearly steered his header home.
With the clock running out of time a good piece of skill by Josh Pearson, another debutant, found a yard of space on the edge of the box to smash a low shot home for the equaliser.
In the final 2 mins Yellow's threw everything forward but the whistle blew before they had a chance to grab a late winner.

Great game for the neutrals, but frustrating for both sets of coaches.
