Reserves Victorious against East Leake

Hucknall Town Reserves welcomed East Leake to the RM stadium for the first match between the two teams this season. Last season the Robins had done the double over Yellows with two very impressive performances. Evergreen Michael Banister made his debut for the Reserves and partnered Mitch Jackson in central midfield.

Hucknall took the lead after a great run by Ally Staley saw his shot rebound to Brad Evans who slotted home nicely. Yellows had plenty of other chances, but just couldn't find the goal to make things more comfortable.

Yellows continued to play well and moved the ball around nicely. But they had to wait until the 65th min to extend their lead when Josh Pearson finished cleverly with a looping flicked shot up and over the keeper. Will Bouwen, local boy Tom Coupe and Lewis Ridley-Phoenix all entered the game and saw Hucknall over the line for only their second clean sheet of the season.
