Frustrating Defeat for Reserves against East Leake

Reserves traveled to East Leake for their NSL1 fixture. The game was switch to 3G and as such was one of the very few matches to beat the weather.
Hucknall fielded a strong team and full bench. Clear-cut chances were few and far between with both team struggling to come to terms with the 3G surface and playing long when shorter passes would bring more rewards. Orange, Lindo, Peat and Roberts all had decent chances but none could find the back of the net and at half time the scores remained level.

The home side took the lead with a deflected shot from distance that looped up and over McGrory in the yellows goal. Shortly afterwards McGrory tripped up on the patched up 3G surface and fumbled the ball to the East Leake striker to extend their lead to two.
Recent signing Nims Rissasay scored a good header to get Hucknall back into the game and it looked odds-on that Hucknall would grab another until Joe Akolwa was fouled on the edge of his box and as players waited for the referees whistle the opposition scored a third. Josh Pearson nearly grabbed a goal but just ran out of steam after an impressive personal performance.
However, the game was done and Hucknall left with nothing.
