Hucknall Town 8 AFC Kilburn 1
Comfortable win for yellows
Hucknall Town proved much to strong for CML newcomers AFC Kilburn.
A five goal first half salvo compensating for three first half injuries picked up by the yellows with Matt Brian (dislocated shoulder), Joe Atkinson (Ankle) and Joe Ashurst (Hamstring) adding to a long list of first and reserve players with injuries.
Hucknall were comfortable enough to play the last ten minutes of the half with ten men after Joe Ashurst opened the scoring on three minutes before Kajally Danso got a quick fire brace, Brian scored with an header but collided in doing so with Dave Leak.
The best worked goal of the half saw Jamie Crawford finish a delightful pass from Michael Banister.
The yellows were looking to give James Beddingham minutes in goal anyway with Mike Randall away for the following Eastwood game - they did this by opting to play Randall in his Sunday morning role at right back rather than risk Jordan Phillips who was given more time due the ease of the game to further allow his knee recovery time.
The second half was again comfortable for the yellows with Crawford and Shaun Smith getting goals and early substitute Adam Nelson making it eight.
Carelessness and wasteful finishing prevented Hucknall hitting double figures and disappointingly they ruined a clean sheet when the Kilburn scorer was allowed to step inside his marker and score the goal of the game from twenty five yards in the last minute.
