Hucknall Town manager Andy Graves assesses his squad before his sides top of the table clash against Sherwood Colliery.

The Central Midlands Football League South Division title swings in the balance but a hammer blow can be dealt to either side at Watnall Road on Saturday.

Both Sherwood Colliery and Hucknall Town have Eastwood and Pinxton hot on their heels with the final fixtures of the league coming thick and fast.

Manager Andy Graves spoke about his squad and their chances of victory ahead of Saturdays match:

"We had a very good training session on Wednesday night. All the lads are excited ahead of Saturday's game against long time league leaders Sherwood"

"We completed the signing of Jack Smith from Eastwood CFC and will go straight into our squad. Kajally Danso also returned and hardly broke a sweat in training, playing well as always."

"Obviously we will be without David Leak but he did not featured in the reverse fixture and we have enough cover, any claims of Sherwood being under strength we take with a large pinch of salt."

"Hopefully the weather won't spoil things; our groundsman has worked all week on getting the pitch ready. Even if the forecast is correct and we get a lot of rain, we wont hold an inspection but allow the match referee to make any decision."

"Sherwood have been on a great unbeaten run over thirty or more games. It's an exceptional run and great credit to their players and management."

"We go into the game under no pressure as we were not expected to be still challenging for promotion if social media polls are to be believed."

"All the pressure is on Sherwood in protecting that top spot and keeping their unbeaten run going. We have ended teams long unbeaten runs before, for example Bolsover in the cup semi final last season and Eastwood's before Christmas"

"That will be our challenge and if we do, we get the added bonus of three points but there will still be twist and turns before the season ends."
