Yellows missed out on progressing in the FA Vase after a heartbreaking loss on penalties after the match finished 1-1 in normal time.

In a scrappy first half it was Yellows who took the lead on 19 minutes after Brad Wells put away a wonderful ball played in from Saad. But just 6 minutes later Heanor were awarded a penalty, which they converted and the first half ended all square even though both teams had chances to score a second.

Heanor got off to a fine start in the second period hitting the post in the first minute. Both teams had chances in a period of end to end football with Wells hitting the bar on 59 minutes and Ashurst having his chance cleared off the line on 74 minutes. Despite Heanor going down to 10 men late on, the second half provided enough chances for either team to win the game, but in the end it came down to penalties with Heanor putting away all 5 of theirs to Yellows 3 and so it is Heanor Town who progress to the next round.
