Chris Galley has left the club following his short period as Caretaker Manager having been Assistant Manager this season and for a period of time last season.

Chris was in charge for his last match in last night's narrow defeat away to Newark & Sherwood FC. Chris gave the following statement. "It is with a tint of sadness that I have made the tough decision to leave HTFC. I spoke to Tris and Largey who made it clear they wanted me to stay but I feel strongly that it needs a fresh start, fresh eyes and opinions to move this fantastic club forward. I have loved managing again and very proud to have led this squad for a short period of time".

Chris added that he was grateful for the opportunity to be involved in the squad who helped the club stay up last season and will be looking to get back into football management should the right opportunity arise in the future.

The club would like to put on record our thanks to Chris and particularly for taking the reins during the transition period over the last 2 weeks. We wish him all the best for the future. 

Speaking of the new Management appointments Chris added, " I have known Tris and Largey for many years and have the utmost respect for both of them, great guys and even better football brains. The club is in great hands and I 100% believe they will move this club forwards. I wish everyone at the club the very best.

We will have an update on additions to the coaching squad and words from the new Manager later today on his reflections from last night ahead of his first match in charge on Saturday.
