Three forwards to join Yellows – reaction from Manager Andy Ingle

Terms agreed for new strike force

Hucknall Town are delighted to confirm that we have agreed terms with Louis Czerwak and Jon Jebbison and for the re-arrival of Niall Towle.

The three forwards bring a multitude of experience to the squad to reinforce the frontline of the team as The Yellows look to build their side for the coming 2023/24 season.

Czerwak, 21, came from the ranks of the likes of Notts County and Chesterfield before making his way to Carlton Town.

Upon his arrival at the RM Stadium, he said: “I was fortunate to have a few clubs contact me through the off-season, but Hucknall was a club I actually contacted myself.
“Having known a bunch of the lads, and Andy, I figured it was something worth taking a look at, so after sitting down and having a chat with Andy and Bano about the plans and ambitions for the players and the club, I knew this was the place to be!”

Jon Jebbison, the eldest of three footballing brothers alongside Micah of Long Eaton United and Daniel of Sheffield United, arrives in Hucknall with a wealth of experience to bolster the Yellows attack.

Formerly of Belper Town, Heanor, Ilkeston, Kimberley and Radford (the latter two clubs saw him finish seasons as their top and second-highest goal-scorer, respectively), the 27-year-old is excited to perform in front of our amazing fans.
“I wanted to join Hucknall Town because I needed a new challenge and I want to play for a competitive team with a great fanbase!
“I’ve liked what the manager and coach have done with the club and I like their aspirations. It’s a no-brainer and I can’t wait to get started!
“Up the Yellows!”

Finally, the club have agreed terms upon the return of frontman Niall Towle following the conclusion of the end-of-season deal he agreed upon his arrival at the start of the year.
The 23-year-old arrived at the RM Stadium following time away from football and scored several massive goals in order to keep the hunt for the play-offs alive, including the winning penalty in the play-off final to see Yellows promoted to Step 5 in the ultimate test of nerves.
“The main reason for me to stay is the ambition of the club and what they plan to achieve.
“I really want to be part of all the ups and downs that might come the club’s way. Being a local lad, I’ve always wanted to play for Hucknall Town, and seeing how much of a community club it is really puts the cherry on top!
“With promotion last season and with how well the staff and players have welcomed me, it’s an honour and a no-brainer to play my football here this season!”

Upon the arrival of the off-season came the news of the departures of the clubs two top scorers last year in Kieran Knight and Craig Westcarr. In these new signings, manager Andy Ingle plans to build a new strike force ready to kick the club on during life in the step above.
“Knowing Jon was available and wanting to talk to us was all we needed to know!
“Not only does he have the experience we need, but he adds to the change in dynamic up front. He’s a strong, powerful player that will both provide and score goals. He’s very direct in his approach in the final thirds, and we look forward to working with him.
“With Niall, although he could have been on the retained list, we were just so happy that he agreed to stay. It will literally be like a new signing! We will get him fit and ready to score goals, because he wants to be with us despite all of the interest he has had. We are excited for him and the club for what looks to be part of an exciting forward line.
“And finally with Louis, we are very excited to have him join us. I know him very well and he’s a very exciting player.
“With the ability and attitude that he has, I am sure he will make a positive impact on the team.”

The club look forward to announcing further signings in the near future.
