It was always going to be a challenge this afternoon and Bourne Town took all three points as they seek promotion.
Two goals in the first half for the hosts which saw them have the HT advantage after a disappointing 45 for Yellows. Yellows got one back quickly at the restart when Chae played a great ball to Joey who fired home, but five minutes later the hosts restored their two goal advantage with a header from a free kick.
On 67 minutes a ball in from the Skipper, Aaron Short, found Niall Towle and he doesn't miss opportunities like that!
Despite a dominant end to the match by Yellows, though Bourne did hit the bar in the dying minutes, Yellows just could not find an equaliser and Bourne Town run out 3-2 winners. A good effort by our lads.
We are back in action at home at the RM Stadium this bank holiday Monday in our last league match of the campaign as we host Kimberley MW where we hope to see a good crowd as we say goodbye to the 2024/25 Season, leaving just the cup match on the 6th of May. (more info on that to come next week)
