Yellows welcomed AC United to the RM looking to extend their unbeaten run to 5 games.
Hucknall started nicely and Josh Pearson very nearly opened the scoring with an acrobatic overhead kick inside the first 10 mins. Soon after Hucknall won a penalty when Olly Peate was fouled but was then denied by a good save from the opposition keeper diving low to his right.
The game was fairly even until 5 mins of madness saw Hucknall go 2 down in the final mins of the game. The first from a speculative ball over the top and the second when taking advantage of a poor clearance.
Half time: Hucknall Town Reserves 0-2 AC United
The second half was all Yellows as they peppered the opposition goal with both shots and headers. Josh Pearson continued his impressive scoring run to grab his third in three games. Headed chances looked the most likely way for Hucknall to score and attempts from Roberts, Jackson, Orange and Byron all failed to find the net. Hucknall keeper Blaine McGrory was a spectator for the entire half. Former AC player Brad Evans looked to have grabbed an equaliser from a neat stooping header only to see it graze the post and away to safety.
On the final whistle it was AC who celebrated their hard fought victory to seem them leap-frog Hucknall into 4th in the table.
Yellows will feel disappointed not to get anything out of this match, particularly after playing so well and dominating large periods of play. But the month of November saw them win 4 and lose only 1. There's a long way to go in this league and Hucknall will be there or thereabouts for sure come May.
