Hucknall Town Football Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Tris Whitman and Aaron Large as the club’s new management team with immediate effect.

Both Tris and Aaron are no strangers to Hucknall Town, and we are extremely pleased to welcome them back to the club as we begin an important new chapter.

When Tris and Aaron left the club at the end of last season, they did so amicably and with the full support and best wishes of the Board. The relationship between them and the club has remained a positive one throughout, so when the opportunity arose to discuss a return, there was no hesitation in having that conversation.

They return with a clear understanding of Hucknall Town, what the club means to its supporters, volunteers and the wider community, and with the ambition and determination to help drive us forward.

The Board has been clear throughout this process that we want Hucknall Town to succeed. We have a group of players who are committed to the club, but we also recognise that the squad will need to evolve and strengthen as we look to improve performances and results.

Tris and Aaron will have the full backing of the Board as they assess the squad and make the changes they believe are necessary. Our focus is on creating the standards, togetherness and winning mentality needed to make Hucknall Town competitive and successful.

They know the club, understand the expectations that come with representing Hucknall Town and share the Board’s ambition for where we want the club to go.

The new management team will take their first training session on Thursday evening, before taking charge of the team for the first time on Saturday, away to Belper in the FA Vase.

There is plenty of football still to be played and a lot for us to compete for. This appointment is about looking forward, bringing everyone together and working hard to take Hucknall Town in the direction we all want it to go.

We know our supporters will get behind Tris, Aaron and the players as we start this next chapter together.

Welcome back to Hucknall Town, Tris and Aaron.

Together, we move forward.
